| and ask for a confirmation on what I was told earlier today before I make myself out to look like a fool. I was told this by a performance shop who had one in stock. I asked if I could see the box with the product and take a look through it. So I open it up and scoff at the description of all the splicing and whatnot you have to do to install the thing - but then I look into the box a little deeper, with intentions of finding a CD or a floppy disk with the software for tuning this thing. It wasn't in there. Me: Uhhhhh. :-) This box seems to be missing something very important! Doug: No man, you can't get the software as an end user. You have to take it to an authorized tuning facility to have it done for you. Me: So you can't DIY? Doug: Nope. Gotta take it to someone. There was a bit more -*interesting*- dialogue after that, but again, I'm trying to avoid the whole foot-mouth disease here. Does the e-manage require to you take it to a tuning facility to have your car tuned? Is it not a user-configurable device? Those of you who know anything about the Zemulator know why I am asking this question - that should be obvious. But I'm just really interested to know if this is really the case.
